As explained here, every object in BriefBuilder gets a unique ID. These IDs are often used to exchange data with other applications.
For every tree in BriefBuilder, it is possible to download these IDs in an Excel format. You only have to do the following:
- Go to relevant tree
- Find the Excel export button in the tree menu.
- Click on it!
- Find the Excel file in your download folder.

The export gives you the following information:
- Object names
- Object names prefixes (these can be classifications or numberings)
- The object ID
- The object type (is it a space, a system etc.)
- The relevant typical (when there is one)
- Labels (if there are labels)
